Where is everyone #2!!

Truck is still down. Can't get a new fan clutch till thursday, but they offered to overnight me one for $90 extra..... then i called a buddy and got it overnighted for $26. So hopefully the part will be here tomorrow so i can get back on the road and make a few bucks beofre the holiday week hits. i remember when I used to look forward to holidays, but now running OTR, they really suck. Everything closes early, freight takes a dump, and all these stupid people out here on the roads. What i wouldn't give a for a 9-5 job some weeks.

 

Worked that kind of a deal for years when I was a Service/Parts director. It was more like 6:30-6:00 but same deal you're talking about SHC.

Sometimes it would be nice again but the alarm going off at 5:00 everyday week after week month after month just isn't worth it to me anymore. Money was great and consistent but I like this deal where I can take off when I want, go deer hunting during the week etc....... Some days like today when i'm sitting here pulling my hair out waiting for my truck to get fixed I have to think back and remind myself how I don't miss the old job.

In and out pretty quick at TSI Western Star. They actually stock Western Star parts, of course that is because they are a standalone dealer. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. They were cutting up a truck when I was there for a glider. The parts guy said they've sold about 20 gliders lately. Oh yeah, for those that drink the blue star koolaid, it's an inspection site as well.

 

Where is TSI located??? I need to find a good Star Car dealer, and I also need a 120 day done as of last friday. Oh well, it is what it is.

Only had to stop and tighten one loose charge air cooler clamp they didn't have tight.

Seen a TMC truck sitting on an on ramp with a tipped over coil on its deck on the way up here.
