The best filtration system I have ever seen is the Davco, we did a small fleet of 3406B's, and "C's" with them and used the 7 micron filters, they have 0 restriction, you never change a filter because you think it is dirty, you can see if you pick up a load of dirty fuel, the filter is big enough that there is 0 chance of any water getting threw. They were getting phenomenal mileage out of a filter, to the point we changed them once a year minimum.
    It is a great system.
    Just a thought!

How are you liking the airdog? Did you do the fuel line upgrade too? I've put one on my dodge/cummins and the difference was like night and day.

so far it is doing good. had to replace the motor and gear pump already but that was airdog's call not mine. started to leak a little fuel between where the pump mounts on the block. called airdog, they sent me the whole gear pump and motor with the O-rings no questions asked!! free of charge! with a prepaid ups freight sticker to send the other one back. oh and yes did the fuel line up grade, also ran the fuel return from airdog straight to the tanks. didn't like the tee fitting in the return line from engine.

Always Great to hear the feed back Superhauler! That unit was placed on our test stand, as we were unable to replicate a leak however this specific stand is just that, a stand and not moving down the road. In any case we will continue to do what is best for our customers.

    Another option-
Google "Caterpillar Prime Time filters"; choice of a couple of filter heads, (both list as kit #206-5756), one regular, one with an electric pump for priming- both can use the Cat FWS #326-1643 which utilizes the clear sediment bowl w/drain. Some years back, I had emailed the Cat filtration department looking for a filter & head capable of larger flow, the 326-1643 is what they recommended. Per Cat, this filter is good for the 3408, 3412, and most of the 35 series, what they term the "medium" engines. Had one on my MBN bridge motor, and some time back, purchased the same for my NXS Accert; haven't installed it yet, and after recent visit to a large Cat store I saw one of those heads with the electric pump....that was a nice looking unit. Although the non electric head has ports to adapt an automotive type fuel pump to it, I think I will try to sell mine, and go with the electric unit- its one neat looking package- prolly mucho
    $$$$$$$ though.

Another thing- only drawbacks I found on the #326-1643 FWS is that you won't find it at a truck stop, and IIRC, Baldwin is the only one that has an interchangeable aftermarket filter, which is used by Volvo heavy equipment.

probably just the o-ring, but thanks anyway. still have a restriction or sucking air though. at high rpm pulling hard the green light will still blink. going to roll off the tanks during the holiday and replace the stand pipes and see if I have any debris floating around in the tanks.

u see ur mpg come up at all after throwing airdog on? Im still thinkin bout it... What was the issue with runnin the return vapors into the return line? Why u run it back to tank?

maybe one or two tenth of a gal per mile. but what I haul that's real good. vapors no, back pressure on fuel yes. don't think it was an issue, but did it just to be sure.
