you can not have fireworks in the cab. however i did and the kids loved them. always got them in missouri, have fun

The key words are "in commerce" and "reportable quantity". Neither of which buying some consumer fireworks for your kids fall under. There is nothing illegal about it on the federal level because it's not considered hazardous. It's nothing but your personal property. It's not like you are going to blow up the capitol building with bottle rockets or cause further injury if your truck is on fire because it is already deemed there is not enough there to do something.
Truck drivers are allowed to haul materials of the trade including 8 gallons of gas, 119 gallons of diesel and 220 lbs of propane which is a lot more dangerous than a few home fireworks. Just tell them you are putting on a show for your fellow truck drivers at the truck stop. Entertainment for the trade.
greenmile_08 Thanks this. -
Every state it is illegal to transport fireworks across state lines and in many states you will not get just a ticket but you will be arrested and may even do jail time. Transporting them as cargo is different story.CondoCruiser Thanks this.

That's the part you have to watch because they are tax hungry. But he can buy them in MN and transport them home. It's not because they are a danger or you need a hazmat endorsement. The same goes with cigarettes and alcohol. But each state is different. Some have minimum requirements.

Thats the trouble mn has legalized fountain style fireworks but no aerial and them are the ones everyone likes lol was thinking about stopping at that place below mount eagle tn they got trucks parking there all the time ..but thats along ways to mn with them..I was kinda hoping someone had first hand knowledge cause I know im not the first to think about this

More or less just low profile and ease on home I guess...

Thats the best plan--but check around where you are going and b careful where you get them--whne th make selling most (if not all types of)here in Pa--the Jersey and NYC PDs--had a field day just over the Delaware River--had cops at a few of the stands just across line in Pa--recorded NJ/NY tag numbers--radioed the boys on the other side on 78/80 and bang--but its just a MONEY grab

at one point and time. utah people were going to evanston wyoming. wyoming cops played the sting game. would watch the stores. and radio the plates to utah highway patrol. who was sitting at the state line waiting for the cars.
i think the practice has been discontinued as the people made a stink.
