I'm still pretty new...pulled an mt reefer to the st paul yard from eu claire once... do we have to have special training to haul a reefer load or can break down teach us how to operate that fridge on the fly?

U get 2 cents per more per mile. Basically all u have to do is set the temp & either cycle or continous. When u fuel at a terminal u have to do the trl # seperate and enter hours for odometer. Also have to sweep them (wash them out if Nasty). They are mostly new trlers & if u have questions ask.

Flying J on I-380 near Waterloo, IA. Was supposed to start hometime tonight but ran out my 14-hour clock while having to figure out how to secure a couple combine cutter heads at Deere in Moline, IL. Was my first time with a load like this; it wasn't obvious at first and I didn't want to mess it up!

You'll learn to run reefer when they're strapped for drivers to get a load somewhere. I non committed a reefer load and 45 min later had the reefer planner calling my phone to take the load. Crash course on the unit and bam your a reefer driver. Two actual reefer loads I've done and about a dozen dry loads in reefer trls to get the sucker back in WI where they like the reefer trls to be. Been a while since I've done it but don't really care for it. Watch your pay check if you actually pull a dry load in one that's where they can pay less for hauling them. Doesn't matter what's inside your hooked to one you get paid for hauling it. Flatbed unfortunately gets the poop end of the stick on that deal. Reefer trls are nice though, spring ride suspension can suck a whole lot of things I'd rather not mention. Good times
