Made "unreasonable" appointment after 3rd operations staff member told me how critical this time sensative load is (I gave them my eta before accepting load, but they kept giving a dispatch time set over 55mph). Sat in 2mph traffic for the last 15 miles into Oakland, made it with 2 min to spare. No thanks, No good job, no extra pay for sticking my neck out even though I know they're getting paid more for expedited.... Instead I'm greeted by an empty trailer with one brake out of adjustment due to linings worn to 1/10". Supposed to be headed home, but 2 super coops between here & there and no cvsa stickers on either truck or trailer...

So instead of heading home, I go 50 miles out of the way to Sacramento to get it fixed -- 3 hours in traffic... And 2 hours before shop can even get a look at it to get approval. Wont have hours to get home now -- but plenty of time to sit and fume.

$340 safety bonus is a small consolation, but no more being a "team player" for me. And 34,000 miles for 3 months? weaksauce! Bye bye FM

Sac 49er finally got ahold of road service who approved both brakes on the suspect axle (only the right brake was illegal, but the other wouldnt be far behind so praiseworthy service by RS --thumbs up to Zach-- those guys just need extra hands). Unfortunately I didnt go on the "shop board" until they had approval & 5 other drivers came through in the meantime. At least everyone within earshot learned how Conway drivers are the most important part of our service offereing. ETA to get trailer in: 6 hours.

I just got caught back up -- he has an interesting perspective & is amusing (especially in his attempts to pick up the lingo). But someone from logs (preferrably with a particle of dust in one eye) needs to double check with him about whether his host/driver completed his 10 before doing a a pti.

Remember to download a copy of your logs before July 1: https://dhos.myqualcomm.com/dhm/

Qualcomm only stores them for 6 months & you'll want them for taxes...

Trailer finally done -- 25 minutes of hold time later & I'm approved to dh home. In 3 hours I'll be sipping on some Lost Coast ale & watching the lawn grow.

Didn't know qualcomm had an online archive of your logs. Very handy. Werner use to send print outs out every month, but this is much better. Thanks for the link.
