Please elaborate? A few beginner mistakes is very vague! I can understand them maybe putting you on some sort of probation, but flat out firing you, what did you do, wreck their truck? Just curious.

What kind of time line am I looking at to getting hired. I am still overseas but will be home tomorrow. I already put the application in and have been talking to Carrie, but I am just trying to figure out how long it takes to finish the process and get to training. Thanks.

Well, I just got back in country and already talked to my recruiter. I should be starting training on Feb 18 or Feb 24. I am pretty excited.

Congrats and welcome back EvoCalling! Are you going the honor program route? I have an interview with the UP railroad soon, if it does not pan out, I will be calling Roehl soon and talking with the recruiters. Good luck!

Thanks. I will being going through the Honor Program. I leveled with myself and realized that school just isn't for me, so I may as well get the money out of the GI Bill this way. I applied with CSX and Norfolk Southern but have yet to hear anything, UP was just to far out of the way for me.

The railroad is just like the military, hurry up and apply, then wait and wait.:biggrin_25523: That is one thing I have learned the last 20 years in the Air Force, patience!

beginner mistakes, such as 2 log book violations, 1st one i had to park the truck besides the side of the road and the shipper didnt have anyplace, and the 2nd was i went to bed early got a phone call and thought i slept in too late and took off driving 6:30pm when i thought it was 6:30am, schneder is the worst company ever...oops i ment roehl. if they had a real reason to fire me they wouldnt have made me work the extra week, and make me take a bs road test in indiana with a predertimined failure, as for swift no luck, cr england couldnt hire me cuz of schnieder... oops i ment roehl again... 3 months of working for my dad for free trieng to get my expirience up to get a job, no luck. a vet shouldnt have this hard of a ################################################################################## time to get a job
