You are right, Mo family man. I should let it go. I keep posting because of the bitter disappointment I feel for believing what I read, both here and in the brochures. I truly believed I had found a company that cared. I guess you could say I have an issue with them and I will do my part to tell other potential Roehl employees the truth about their practices before they become as bitter towards them as I have.
Also, I wouldn't call any job a dream job (maybe a cabana boy at some tropical paradise or something) but it is good for me. I am thankful that the 14 months at Roehl gave me the experience to get this job. Everyone has different likes, however from time to time I find myself missing some of what I got to do with Roehl (places, people, etc.)
Another reason I post is because it has been said recruiters and the like of scum come to this site and post. I am sure they don't tell it like it really is, so I watch for this. I really don't like those blood sucking liars. You lied to me, and many others for that matter. For this, I will continue here until I get bored or more truthful comments are posted here.
You seem like a nice man. Have a nice day

So what you're saying (at least what I think you're saying), is that your beef isn't so much with Roehl, as it is with the recruiters that lied to you?

No dude his beef is Roehl did not deliever what the recruters promised. Both are at fault. I am not sure if my recruter is even still with the company but lets just say if he was on fire and I really had to go well...
For me though it didn't matter, I had to have a job at the time soI had to stick it out and make it work. Then I guess I just got used to it and Roehl ended up being very good to me. I would be hard pressed to emember a year I made less than 70 and that with me running less and less. I think that is the key, just makeing it thru the first year. That's why homer intrigues me so much. He made it past that year then left. His story should be alarming to Roehl mgmt but it isn't. That's why I chuckle when people talk of mgmt on the forums, I doubt they are here. They don't care.

Family man, you're right about me moving on. I am happy with my present job and I now raise the white flag on Roehl. Good luck to all of you. I hope things continue to go well for you while you train new drivers and new drivers, you could do a lot worse than Roehl (yeah, I said it). Just don't believe everything you read or hear.
    Be safe.

Nahh, not leaving, just gonna spectate for a while :) May offer a positive comment every now and then, like this... from my experience and what I have seen, not heard, Roehl DOES offer a superior training program for new to the industry drivers.

Well, recruiters are basically salesmen, and a salesman's job is to BS you into buying something however possible. Recruiters are no different. They promise the Sun, the Moon, the stars. and maybe even triple digit trucks to con you into working for whoever.

Oh, yes they are. Mgmt. stooges do read sites like this and do look to bust people. Some will even go so far as to register under false pretenses and masquerade as drivers. I booted a few of them out of here myself. The latest was a Terminal Manager for National Freight.

Swift's Houston TX Terminal Manager is a member here, and as soon as he identified himself I was on him like white on rice, making it clear that I'm not having any funny business here. So far he has behaved with distinction, and has been a big help to people.

This is no BS, I was in the office in Ellenwood and I noticed one of the DSR's had this site up.

Any of these companies would want to keep training new people to do these jobs. Just don't understand why they as a team don't care to rectify all of the problems that run people off. I know that is "how it is" but just doesn't make sense! You ever heard the saying "It takes more work to avoid work, than just doing the work itself"?
