I hear you. Safety didn't even know what it was until they looked at a computer. Even then, he didn't tell me what it was. Just kept referring to an "incident." I wish I could clarify it more, but I was left scratching my head too.
Failed road test with Werner. Career over?

That would not be your fault if they hit you from behind. They would have been at fault for following too closely.

You may have lucked out. I had an unhappy incident with a carrier I hired on with in May. I took a voluntary resignation after two days because my trainer took me off the truck and told the DM I don't know how to shift. I didn't have an accident but I *did* accidentally spend too long out of gear on a grade and relied on the brakes, which is bad. I caused my whole problem by downshifting too late and improperly.
I later found out that I'm better off not working for that carrier, anyway.
In applying with other carriers, only Roehl tossed my application because the previous carrier reported that I was fired. No one else has said so much as a haw about it. I also enrolled with a trucking instructor for one-on-one road training after my grade experience. -
Bilbirk, Wildblackyonder, CertifiedSweetie and 4 others Thank this.

Can't you just retake the test?

Just keep trying. I find it EXTREMELY strange that they told you had some "Incident" but wouldn't tell you what it was?!? What kind of nonsense is that? Werner nonsesne I guess right lol. But running a yellow light on your road test is a bad thing to do, we were told to treat a yellow light like a stop light and stop when we see one when I went to school.
okiedokie Thanks this. -

CondoCruiser Thanks this.

They probably wanted you to anticipate the green light turning yellow. If I'm coming up on a light that has been green for a while I will slow down just in case it turns. 99% of the time it turns and I can stop without slamming the breaks. If it stays green as I roll into the intersection then I just accelerate. If the traffic behind me doesn't like it, oh well. If they were in that big of a hurry they should have been in front if me!
Like one of the previous posters also said, I have no problem break checking mother ####### who ride my ###.CertifiedSweetie and reefer75 Thank this.
