    $1,120 AFTER TAXES?

You are starting out, and they are saying you will make $1,120? I would not count on making what they are telling you you "should" make. If they don't guarantee you a certain amount of money you will make, but say "you should make....." or "Our fleet average is....", don't count on anything they promise.

I am not saying take it or don't. I suggest you Do look at all the options available.

    http://www.driveqd.com
    http://www.greatcdltraining.com/
    http://becomeadriver.com/

Those are just the ones I know of. There are more.

Also pam and usa trucks (driver solutions) take $40 to $50 each week out of your check for 1 year. You have to pay back 1995 of the tuition.
Celadon doesnt take anything and everything is free upfront, BUT you have to do 120k miles with them. That could and probably will take longer than a year.

Just take a breath and weigh your options. Dont be in too big of a hurry.

More bills then money is stacking up right now and trucking is something I have been wanting to do for a while. After I got the call of being approved and contract was sent to me I spoke with my recruiter from the trucking school after the news and he ask was I ready to come out Monday I mentioned to him on starting the next Monday he said cool but to keep in mind they have given me a job and waiting around is saying like I don't wanna work so I'm thinking like either I take this offer up and go with it or sit around and wait for something else and I'm also keeping in mind that JBS only does this type of hiring at certain times for certain areas and Pam I'll have to wait for two more months because I started my application and didn't go through with it same as for USA haven't tried other you mentioned

Go for it! If you have more bills than money right now you have nothing to lose!

Congratulations for making it into the JBS program which is limited to very few whom they choose each month. Good luck! :biggrin_255:

You can plan on making 30k your first year with jbs minus say 5k for paying them back for schooling. Thats around 480 $ a week. Now include ins and taxes. I also would go with jbs before I would go to any other megga carrier, well I actually did lol.

I'm currently sorting out company-sponsored schools myself, and I can tell you that $96 a week is steep...most companies are closer to the $30/$50 per week range for paying back. Talk to Schneider, Central Refrigerated, Prime....In short, ask around a bit before you make a decision that's going to change your life like this decision does.
