I live in Florida, they have a cat facility in Miami Lakes, so I figured I'd call CRST and see whats up. Long story short, I have been with them since May, and loving it. I got a excellent co driver, we've gone from Morton Illinois to Cali, Cali to Fla, since May, we have averaged 6000 miles a week, consistant. I can honestly say that, I am enjoying this gallivant with CRST. Good miles, same locations, you get to know the people, the roads, etc.
If your interested in going to CRST, ask about dedicated. And for god sakes, dont let them bully you into expedited. Expedited SUCKS!

I was looking for the Caterpillar locations on their website but, I cant find it. So I will rattle off the ones I know off the top of my head (ive been to).
Spokane Washington, Arvin California, Morton Illinois (mossville, bartonville, and 3 others I cant remember), Clayton Ohio, Waco Texas, Indiana, Carol Stream Illinois, Pennsylvania, Kansas City. There are more, but I dont know there locations. -
Here is the link I was looking for http://www.drivecrst.com/ and click hiring areas.
luv2drive365 Thanks this. -
I also got a 2014 freightliner cascadia with 20.5 miles on it. There are 4 dispatchers for Dedicated Cat, they are based out of Morton Illinois, you will get very familiar with Morton, if you go dedicated.

I worked for them in expedited and it wasn't bad. had some good weeks and some decent weeks. No really bad weeks. They are not a terrible company to work for. I do think they gave me the shaft when I left but it was worth it. free schooling and contract was shortened to 6 months during my orientation. Instead of using one of the 4 drop yards in the south where I was, I was made to drive all the way to cedar rapids to turn in my truck. Oh well.... I still think they are a decent outfit. They just have no interest in solo drivers. My first co driver could not read a map and kept waking me up to get directions. the last one was an older woman who stopped every hour to use the rest room. This really turned me off to teaming.
Congrats on finding a great run and a compatible co driver. -

How long was the school for CRST? how long was it before you received a first paycheck from beginning of school to actually driving?

Just a little lost here..........Don't take this wrong, but I have to ask............
You speak well of CRST, even post a few links, talk about some of the terminals, but the last post you typed, you talk of going to another company in Sept.
Did I miss something here? Either way, good luck. -
