You can make a living at prime, especially someone like yourself. I have a few friends who have been there. only thing is that you WILL run, if you don't like to run don't go there

This isnt bad, but...Wheres you dead head miles?? Did you drop and hook at every stop..And What did your expences per mile come out to?? Just guessing at a reasonable deadhead..You know what you did, but even withthat it could be around 1.34 loaded and MT.. Which is Ok if your expences are minimal.. What is your avg. expence on these #s, and what was you gross mileage... Curious!!

I dont care how many miles i travel to make those checks. I guess I average about 2800-3200 miles per week. When I start to whine about the miles and how much per mile instead of the bottom line then I will just get out. Trucking is not for babys but there are thousands of them out here Waaa, i drove too many miles...Whaa, the fuel is too high...Whaa, dont like the NE..sniffle sniffle..my heart bleeds for them

I get paid the same empty or loaded. Ita all part of the rev to the truck. anywhere from $1.20-3.50 a mile depending on the load.

Id just like to ask, why does everyone get offencive about asking about their #s ???? Especially when those who are looking to do this arent seeing the whole truth..And when you give them, why do you only give half the story??? What we need to know, is what are you clearing after expences...I laid a settlement check on the dresser one night for over 4000.00, My wife saw that and you could see Wal-Mart light up her world...But after I got through with all my expences it was another story.. I grossed to me about 1700.00 before taxes which wasnt bad for then..The point is Post your gross to you before taxes...Not your gross revenue before expences...This misleads alot of people..

obviously another driver without a clue and probably a liberal to boot. as I was saying, one of the thousands that dont want to work for a living and when the living is good then they have to question why..Ill tell you why, because I work for a living and I run hard to secure my future. I am starting a fleet 2 years from this spring and when a driver crys then he will be given a pink slip as well as a depends diaper and sent down the road:biggrin_25525:

Because you have not been able to read any of my past posts. I will give you a brief history of why I know what I am doing and why I make the bigger checks
I was a contractor for 20 years and now I am "Semi Retired". That is my grandson in the picture and his name is Braedon:biggrin_25525:He is a whipper snapper!
I gave the business to my son on his 22nd b-day and hit the road. I do not make a set $$$ per mile because I am o/o and it will vary. But I do know how much I get paid for every mile for each trip. Which trip do you want me to explain to you. Im just sick of reading about all these drivers that are having to get out of the business because they cant seem to take home more than $1800 per week. If they want more then they have to move up the ladder. I have always been able to be successful simply because my cup is always half to 3/4 full and I always make decisions based on a educated thought.

Last thing is, I apologize for being short. Almost died about 36 hours ago coming down a mountain that no truck should ever be on and it was not posted as such and was on my qualcom as a primary road. I am scared of nothing but did not stop shaking for about 1 hour and when I got to the bottom I had to stop in the middle of the road to take a leak because it literally scared the pee right out of me. Again, sorry for the attitude, Im actually a real good guy if you look at my other posts you will see that.

don't worry semi, he can't seem to do anything but run around the forum picking fights and calling people names. Doesn't matter what you say he will still criticize you. Don't let him be a reflection on the rest of us around here. I see you are fairly new, so is he and I have a feeling he won't be staying long
