    I am not looking to be a trainer... I am following a few friends that are with other companies and they have trainers right at 6 months and team drive for 6-8 weeks. My comment was that I would like to train if I could 13 on 13 off. That will never happen. Seems like they have a lot of trainer turnover as well. I asked about Roehl because they seem to have a lot of happy drivers past and present. I follow other threads and Roehl by far has the fewest complaints etc. Tells a lot about a company hearing from their employees.

    Load of furniture parts or something. Overheard some guys talking about them awhile back. Just curious what I'm getting into.

    HON furniture, all office furniture, multiple stops to places like Office Depot, staples, etc... Also usually means close to and in large cities.

    It's BS though. Because either they scale it, and don't leave a copy, which the way Roehl is with everything else, should be irritated because that just costs them more if it gets scaled again. That's a couple gallons of fuel. Or they aren't scaling it, and eventually will get a ticket.

    HON=PITA

    you will be sliding the office furniture (everything from 20# chairs to 200#+ desks and crap) to the tailgate where the customer is responsible for getting them off.

    had a HON load when I was out with my trainer it was a disaster.

    we got it as a relay with 3 stops left

    first two stops no big deal, last was a private school in Cambridge.MA. Trainer called day before these deliverys to try to convince dispatch that Cambridge is a no-go.

    of course, they don't buy it....

    we are at second stop, a warehouse op where their business is taking stuff off big trucks and putting it on small trucks to get it to places like this school in Cambridge.

    after speaking with the Cambridge PD trainer calls dispatch back and gives the verbatim from the cops.

    "well it's not against the law for you to try and get it there, but I dont see how you will get out. I wouldn't advise it, but call if ya need us to block traffic or whatever."

    so now dispatch finally buys what he is telling them, which he followed up wiyth, hey these guys we are at now do this for a living why not set it up and we can leave the stuff here?

    we spent the night at a local motel 6, trainer was kinda POed @ the waste of 30 hours only to be told to go back to the place we suggested.

    moral of the story is this, google maps satellite view is your only friend. the contact lady at the school was like "o ya trucks come here all the time"

    I have had one HON load since...normal PITA of doing the freight moving (it was 80% heavy stuff stacked to the rafters) fortunately all the folks at my stops helped out

    I've done a few of them. Some are a little challenging to get to depending on where they are going since most of them don't have directions. If it's going to Massachussetts I might have directions if its the same places I went to. You can PM me the addresses and I'll see if I can help.

    I had a hon load to Miami once, my last 3 stops and none of the places where made for a semi. You have to use extra caution and park and walk in and scout it out first if you can, and call each stop too, and make sure they know your coming
