It isn't horrible the days I have to go to Philly and back from Richmond, I get thru DC in the morning before rush hour, and on the way back I can usually use the HOV lanes to get around the work zone delays. Now days like the day I'll have on Monday I hate. I have a 90 mile load to Waynesboro, then I get to come back to the cardboard plant and run local loads, shuttle trailers 2 miles to the warehouse, and do pretty much whatever the logistics manager at the plant wants me to do until 4PM.

That's one of the main reasons I want to drive OTR 7/7. For me it's not about the money but being able to drive and I am sure there are several challenges to deal with and seeing different areas etc. If I had to drive the exact route daily for 8 hours it would get boring. I guess that's why I am an agent. Never liked the same thing all the time.

Hey Jimmybones thanks for posting your pay stub. that is just for 1 week? Is that about an average deposit for a fairly lazy company driver? I know this may sound crazy but I barely have that much deposited in my bank account and the stupid call center I work out now every two weeks. Career change sounds better every day.

Fairly lazy for me, with a good relationship with my dispatcher. Not really sure how other folks compare.

My pay this coming check figures to be a little less, but comparable. I average between $900 and $1200 a week.

It would be fair to say that post tax, I make about $3800 monthly, barring situations which prevent full availability, like home time or staying regional so I can make a VA appointment.

I know how it is. As a manager at a Dominos, I made barely $450 every two weeks.

As a certified toyota technician with 10 yrs experience I was happy to bring home $450 a week lol. I finally said screw it, let them find someone else with the same knowledge and experience who is always the first one in the shop and last to leave that will work for that pay. So now im in psd and having a good time.
