i'd choose Jordan anyday & all day over jct. Jordan will get u home every weekend, jct u lease 1 of their trucks, which by now they're all used until they get new ones, & u have all the expenses. remember $4/gallon fuel is hard to pay for when base rates are less than a $1/mile then what ever the fuel surcharge may be to add up & hope like hell ur truck gets good fuel economy, has an apu, & remember egr & emission issues that will come. it's easier to work for someone & get a paycheck rather than to work for someone who holds fuel, truck payment, etc out of ur check & what u have left over u have to make ends meet @ home & not to mention maintenance if it's not held out already. just something to think about
Jordan Carriers and JCT need opinions please

I have never worked for Jordon, but I do get some freight from them sometimes that they broker out. They pay as good or better than any other flatbed outfit I have dealt with, always paid on time, and never had an issue with them. The couple company drivers I have talked to seem to like it. I know they haul a lot of steel out of Mobile, where I pull out of most of the time.
Sweetdreamz Thanks this. -
I am not familiar with Jordan. However the comparisons being given seem to be company driver position (Jordan) vs lease purchase. There really is no comparison. If a person wants a job, Jordan, may a great option. If the same person wants to be a part of creating their own business then JCT is a wonderful option.
Every business has its ups and down. Plan accordingly and focus on the pennies and success is possible. -
I don't see where jct is a wonderful option after reading the threads on them; jmo

For some JCT would not work. Where they live, needing to be home weekly etc. for others in a position to go out on the market and get a truck, trailer and their own authority they would be able to make more following that course of action. For others no lease or purchasing a truck outright would work well due to unreasonable expectations, lack of self discipline or sheer laziness. For what JCT offers it is a great option for me and has been for a number of others I know personally

Iowa 80 truck show is this week. Anybody near Walcott Ia swing by and say hello. I have a loaner truck (cascadia) and my stainless show trailer entered. Unfortunately my Coronado show class truck was clipped Monday!!!! Nonetheless swing by and visit, be safe out there.

Lie Sharpp said, I am running under the same l/p program. Paid off one early but this truck was a special deal that I didn't want to pass up on.

If hes looking for flatbed companies : P and S transportation in Birmingham is a great company with awesome equipment. By what ive read about your husband he will do fine here. Ive been here four months and make great money, and never sit for a load. We have aterminal in Florida too. Have him call recruiting at 205-788- 4000. Have him put my name down or truck. They do pay referral bonuses. But he dont have to if he dont want to. Ive been hauling fb for 7 years and love the company. They treat drivers awesome. If you have a problem dont be afraid to speak up about it. My truck number is 1167.
Good Luck
