Got to be careful when laying over in New York. Some towns have signs on the main streets stating no parking on streets between 2 am and 6 am.
I parked on a street beside a customer (a scrap metal yard with a fenced in compound) at 9 pm. When I got up at 7 am I found a parking ticket taped to my drivers side door. I tried to argue with the lady at the courthouse stating that there were no signs posted on that particular street but apparently there were signs on the main street warning of the prohibition. That ticket cost me $120.00. Lesson learned. I will never park on a side street in any town in New York again.

I have to reload in Hazleton Pa before 2pm today. The load is going to Texas but it has a long delivery time on it and I was instructed to drop it at our Wytheville yard. I'll be there late tonight and will get something off the yard that will keep me running over the weekend. Right now I've been waiting the last 2 hours for my clock to tell me I'm not tired anymore. Isn't it nice to have something tell you when you are tired and when you aren't?
Jrdude5, mr truckdriver and runningman0661 Thank this. -

JohnBoy So what does log department say when you drive out of hours. It obvious there was now way to get in and out of NYC legally. No fault of your and I know that the regulation says to the nearest safe haven. Thanks
