Sounds like somebody else I know.He use to buy his trks from a junk yard.I know because I got the honor of driving them also retrieved a trk from a corn field.Don't have a clue where he got his trls,my guess would be from local neighbors that had junk to sell.

To elaborate further on what I talked about briefly on the last page, I work for the USPS. I'm a MVS driver. The mail contractors don't even compare to what you could potentially earn as a MVS driver. If you want to haul US mail, I would recommend giving the USPS a shot before the contractors.

Some of our guys went over to the MVS, and they regret it. Either they haven't been turned over and are making ###### money since the best hours go to full time career employees, or they have been turned over and are making about 18 bucks an hour with union dues verses the 26 bucks an hour I make. From what I've heard, and I could be wrong, but unless you were hired by the USPS a while back before they started all this PSE ####, it's not worth it because you won't be a full USPS employee, just a person on a year-to-year contract with them.

But I could be wrong, it's just what I've heard.

    Ghost Ryder Thanks this.

No, you're correct. They got rid of the PTF position a while ago and hire you as a PSE. If you can wait it out for a couple of years, the wait is well worth it. I have not seen a year where I made under six figures since I got turned regular.

BTW, you don't have to be in the APWU if you live in a RTW state.

Sadly, I'm going to be out of the mail business all together come the end of this month since I'm moving to Lubbock, TX. Not much mail being run around there, from what I've seen.
