Still having issues with routing on the 520... Today's example is 2875 8th St; Biggs, CA 95917 to 1240 E Victoria St; Carson, CA 90746

Navigo routing: 99s to I5 to 405 to exit 37b (459 miles)


520 routing:

Shortest: 99s to 20e to 70s to 65s to 80w to i5s to 170s to 101 to 110 to 91 to exit 8 (479 miles)

Fastest: 99s to 20e to 70s to 99s to I5s to 170 to 101 to 110 to 91 to exit 8 (463 miles)

Map update is a few days old, "prefer freeways" allow tollways & tunnels.

 

I have used my GPS to search on a route and go out to as much as 1400 miles to find fuel stops.

 

how do you delete a custom POI?

 

Manual says to delete all but first line and reload file.

 

Navigo is a truck gps built into the qualcomm (works fine, except it freezes at least once a week). And there are 0 truck restrictions on I5, 99, or 405. Regardless, none of the above explains why TND 520's "shortest" routing often has 5% more miles than "fastest."

 

try changing the setting from 53 ft to 48 or 45 feet for length.
