If you are thinking about going to work at Grand Island express out of Nebraska. Be warned about there Rscrow account. They take $25.00 each pay period up to $500.00 to cover any mishaps that happen between you, your truck, and company weather or not you are at fault.(Do offer an appeal board). My problem with them is that i quit with notice and no outstanding problems. Was told by Jessica V who did my orientation that the $500.00 would be deposited back into my account in 30 days. 45 days later no money still. Called Jessica V for 3 days after 35 days had passed. Left 3 nice messages to find out the problem. After 5th call, was able to talk to her, which then said she was out of town and put me thru to another lady named Gloria. Gloria then said that computer had note to keep my money but with no reason given. Gloria then said she would call me back that day(8-16-2012) or the very next day(8-17-2012). Still no call and today is 8-21-2012. And now i have been told by an attorney that i may not get it back at all because i am in the state of Indiana and i am trying to collect from a company in the state of Nebraska. (CAN file a lawsuit, but the cost may out weigh the return by way to much) Lawyer going to check on the legal status i may have. So be warned about the Escrow Account, especially if you are from a different state then Nebraska and may be thinking about going to work for them.(Plus the pay is not that good, driver their still said with 10yrs was at 0.38)

GIX are the biggest crooks, i don't know about there trucking business but they have brokerage side which is very bad and be aware of it. They will not pay any detention or even have problems paying for straight load ; they are straight up liers. I did two loads and one load i got paid but the other one they are making all kind of excuses not to pay and delaying payment yet there was no shortage no damage and saying the load was loaded less then the actual load,,,is it my fault: NO, I have a pickup # which i give to shipper and that's how i get loaded with sealed and paerwork, I hope one day God punishes these brokers who suck blood out of small trucking companies. Only advice i can give is Never ever pick any load fro GIX logistics biggest crooks.

Im leased to fcc out of fremont,ne. Good company, check them out. Also, why bother suing over $500, you would eat at least that much in legal fees.

well then so this company suck i take it. no positive things

I just wish there was a website that we owner operators/small carriers can go and check review on Shady Brokers who don't pay promptly, just basic reviews like yelp provides for businesses. Alot of the sites that i know are run by factoring companies which has only reviews that they have factored loads. -
I've hauled several loads for GIX brokerage. Some of them weren't the greatest rates but every load was exactly as they said it would be. I was paid timely including all unloading and extra stop charges. Also, they are some of the nicest people on the phone. Maybe you had a bad experience but in my opinion they are good people. Now to the OP, I'd never have agreed to have $25 taken out of my check weekly in the first place but that's just me.
