    I've been a driver for about 4 months. I'm on the Allentown Regional fleet.

    I don't need to blow smoke up anyone's ###. I've been around this industry all my life. Been driving 3-4 months. I'm at .50 a mile. I don't have #### to prove to anyone but ill post a screen shot of a check stub if you need proof.

    Driving for Roehl? That amount per mile didn't even occur once in my Roehl driver's guide. I'm not accusing you of lying and I don't want to see a check stub.

    I want to know HOW someone with with 3-4 months driving experience is getting .50 when drivers with 5-10-20 years don't come close to that? I was with Roehl almost 5 years and when I quit I was at .40 pulling reefer. Only flat bedders made more and most of them were less than .50!

    So enlighten us all. If I ever go back how do I get .50 a mile?

    Actually I just thought of a possibility. If you're a local driver pulling driving a miles a day but getting paid by the hour then technically you could be making $.50 a mile. If that's what it is then it's time to come clean. That's an anomaly.

    it should have read;

    "I was with Roehl almost 5 years and when I quit I was at .40 pulling reefer. Only flat bedders made more and most of them were less than .40!" (Not .50)

    Another correction;

    "Actually I just thought of a possibility. If you're a local driver pulling day cab, driving 100 miles a day but getting paid by the hour then technically you could be making $.50 a mile. If that's what it is then it's time to come clean. That's an anomaly."

    I use my iPhone to check these message boards and my fingers are too fat for these tiny keys. As a result I often make a mistake or two. If I don't proofread my work it gets by me. Just like it did this time.

    4 months experience and you get .50 a mile on the Allentown Regional?
    That doesn't seem possible. If that's true I'm stunned and even happier I quit. Starving some while giving rookies .50? Can this be so? Four months in I was making .32 or so.

    I'm not calling anyone a liar or any name at all. All I'm saying is after running into so many veteran drivers at Roehl barely making ends meet, the idea of a 4 month guy getting .50 a mile is stunning if true!

    Supply and demand, nobody wants to do it. They are still wanting more drivers over there.

    Nobody probably wants that rat race. If they can't fill it they'll pay a premium for somebody to do it. Who knows how many miles he's getting either. .50/mile only getting 1500 miles makes a big difference. He may have posted his miles somewhere and I missed it.

    Not NE regional cause they have that too. One they usually require more experience to do it. I was talked up by my trainer/the instructors I tested with. And my FM. It's tons of NY/NJ/Philly driving its hectic and nobody WANTS to do it hahha

    experience don't mean #### really. I hit a dock yesterday the guys on the dock all clapped. Said 99% of people after about 20 min of trying come in and ask for people to help spot. I hit it in 3 shots.
