I honestly do see where you're coming from here, but honestly, what is the harm in even talking to someone to prove they aren't what you think they are? Anyone can go get hired to work at Mcdonalds with high school kids for a few months, does that really mean they aren't what you said I was?

CR England, I actually did try to contact. A lot of the companies are closed on Sunday so I'll try back tomorrow. But why am I a special snowflake? Because I'll run over the road without complaining unlike most guys. That's what I bring to the table. I'll work my ### off for my reputation.

Actions speak louder than words. That's what your resume equates to. These companies get apps by the truckload, they go by key elements in your application, not face to face interaction. My point is that you are not a special snowflake.

Why should someone look at you and think you're better than the guy with 3+ years work history behind him? Cuz theres plenty of those guys. No one looks at the special skills section on your resume...

Your willing to work your "###" off for your reputation? No, you aren't...

Think what you want, but I'm trying to get into this industry to make money. Nothing more. If I can help a business in the process, so be it. I am and will be willing to work my ### off for my reputation because my reputation makes me money. So, say what you want, all I'm looking for here is an opportunity.

Actions do speak louder than words... especially when you can't have a voice to voice such words without a company that's willing to take a risk on a guy that wants to work.

Now as for the affidavit part only do i reply. some companies look into character/personality of a prospective employee not all ....just if you can get maybe 3 character references and maybe if you have do regular odd jobs for the same person more than once and they liked your work...then that would in some terms of business, be considered a employer reference. best of luck.

    Heisenberg,

I am not sure where you are located but have you tried the Army Reserve? The 88M MOS is a truck driver. A lot of Reserve Units are having a hard time filling spots. You could get a bonus to enlist, money for College or Trucking school and tat can count as employment history. Just an idea. I know here in the LA area that MOS has a 15K signing bonus. Hope that helps.

Prime, and other companies that give "Free" cdl training are ALOT more picky about who they bring on than if you get your CDL on your own at an independent school. If you go to school and get your cdl on your own, you most likely aren't going to have a problem. My friend left the workforce for two years, went to school got his cdl and was having a bit of a tough time choosing who to go with he got so many pre hires and offers. I just read a post here the other day about a guy who left the workforce for 3 years to be a stay at home dad, he went to school and got his cdl and didn't have any issue getting a job. Get your CDL on your own and things will be a lot easier.

That is not true. All companies are required to have 10 year work history. Unless of course like most said and you get notarized copies from people saying what you were doing. During that time of unemployment. You will have problems. Companies are quick to bring you into orientation. They they send you back home just as quick. When they can't match up references. Been to many of orientations and seen it. So don't spend your money on a school and then find it nearly impossible to get a gig. People do get hired, but I can tell you it's a headache. So be prepared.
