Again, the registries need to be cleaned out. This is best left to someone who knows what they are doing as the registries tend to be the "brains" of your computer.
You have a bad install, prior install of another program is hung, Anti-virus is stopping the install, you are not installing as admin.

Mark Kling Thanks this.
-
Mark, the way I understand it is that it's based on the 14 hour clock.
-
I'm talking about the 30min break.
-
Not to get the thread off on another path.. But the 30 min breaks is tied to lines 3 and 4.
Once you drop down to either line 3 or 4 the 8 hour clock starts. If you have no 30 min breaks back to line 1 or 2 in the 8 hours, then at the end of line 3 and 4 combined (8 hours) you must take a 30 min break.
If you 14 hour clock runs out, you can still be on line 4, but not on line 3.
As it is suggested, try not to take the 30 min break before the first 3 hours of line 3 and 4 (combined). If you do then you will have to take another 30 min break later.
Start day. (if you take a break <= 3 hours into your day)
15 min line 4
2 hr line 3
break 30 min (line 1 or 2)
8 hour line 3
break 30 min (line 1 or 2)
1 hour line 3
day is done.
Start day (if you take a break >3 hours into your day)
15 min line 4
7 hr 45 min line 3
break 30 min.
3 hr 15 min line 3
day is done
This way you only have one 30 min break in your 11/14 clocks.
Thanks,
Mark -
The way I read the Reg, it's tied to the 14hr clock, not lines 3 & 4. Also, take your break after 6 hr. Then, if you do use the full 14 you won't have to take another break.

[[(ii) Rest breaks. After June 30, 2013, driving is not permitted if more than 8 hours have passed since the end of the driver's last off-duty or sleeper-berth period of at least 30 minutes.]]

As stated this thread is not about the New 30 min break. It is for support of the TND.
Thanks,

Just took my first trip with new software and maps from Grand Forks BC to Oceanside CA and am not impressed. My route goes through a lot of small towns in WA OR ID NV CA and none of the speed limits that have been wrong for at least 2yrs have been updated which means the speed warning audio announcement constantly comes on,very annoying so I end up muting the unit, to me this is unacceptable. Verbal speed warning still linked to car speed limits, new function "user defined speed limit" useless as you get no verbal warning if you exceed it,still just turns ball red which I can't see while wearing sunglasses and what professional driver watches his gps constantly,we need verbal warnings so we can concentrate on driving a 75 ft vehicle safely.
Would it be so hard to hook the verball warning to the ball turning red? Maybe RM should make a Truck GPS and get the car stuff off of it as making it functional for both doesn't work. I am glad to be able to turn off the curve ahead warning and that US 395 CA is now updated to show truck speed limit even though u don't get a verbal warning if u exceed it.
To me the most important function of a gps is its verbal communication and should be geared to trucks only, leave the car stuff to the other guys.
If someone comes out with a truck only gps I will certainly buy one no matter who makes it.Mark Kling and double yellow Thank this. -
There is also a change for the Speed Warning...
Can set it to warn at a certain speed regardless of speed limit.
