I'm not really sure what to search for to get this answered. My brother, his fiance and 2 small children need to get back to New Hampshire. They have been here since March, were supposed to "start new" and have done nothing but drain my mother and I financially and emotionally. My mom is depressed all the time and only wants to sleep. I work full time and can't even pay our bills. They need to go back but we don't have the money for tickets of any method. Can anyone tell me where or how I would go about, if it's even an option, getting them back northeast with a driver/series of drivers ASAP???
Please help??? Thank you for reading![]()

You're in the wrong place. No carrier would authorize them as passengers and carrying unauthorized passengers earns CSA points.

Ok, thank you for the response.

you're not going to get a ride from a company driver. company drivers are not allowed to have passengers without authorization from the company and most companies that do offer rider programs only allow 1 at a time. if you want a ride from a trucker your best bet is an owner operator. they own their tractors and they can give rides to whoever they choose and as many as they choose without risk of losing their job.elizann73 Thanks this.

Thank you aztrucker89. I will try to find some locally that I can ask and maybe they will know where I should start.

I think you will not find an owner operator willing to do this.
Number one. Their insurance is usually just as stringent as a company on who rides in the truck. I own mine and if it is on the road and my wife is on board, I have to have permission forms as well.
Number two. You will not be able to have more than one due to restraints. -
just because insurance says no doesn't mean he or she can't. I've seen and met with numerous owner ops that had 4-5 people in his truck at a time. if he/she gets caught by the insurance company they could be nice and give a slap on the wrist and say don't do it again or they could drop him/her and said owner just goes and signs on with another insurance carrier. I don't know who you have for insurance but when I owned my truck I was allowed to have up to 4 passenger on the truck at a time provided 1 was restrained in the jump seat and the other 3 were restrained and not in an obstructive manner to the driver.

You do realize that if you violate the law and rules of the insurance company, and have an accident, you may be up the famous creek.
-
If you don't have a rider policy on your insurance you would be. All I'm saying is that if he wants a ride from a driver his best bet would be an owner op. Regardless of insurance policies I think you and I can agree there are still owner ops out here that are willing to bend the rules wether it be passenger coverage or working the log for that extra .75 to get to the consignee.
