I hate delivering to San Francisco.

Cons wasn't ready at delivery appointment and said "could you wait 4 hours?". Sure, no problem -- mind if I stay parked in front of your business? "oh no, you've gotta go.". Funny, no one wants to allow a truck to park anywhere in SF.

And they all say the same thing when you ask for big truck directions: "Oh we have trucks deliver here all the time." followed by "Wow that's a lot bigger truck than we normally get.". I had to encroach on the sidewalk to keep the alley open, dodging a street sign in the process. This apparently pissed off a local hobo. Either that or he felt that my steps made a nice handhold for crouching because he dropped trou right in front of me and unleashed a bear-pile of execrement.

 

Maybe you just scared the **** out of him!

we once delivered to AT&T park ...backed in from the street
so do you get a extra stop plus detention pay ?

 

No extra stop pay, but 4.75 hours detention. My truck barely started once they finished, so now I'm at the San Leandro International dealership for new batteries.

 

Sitting at the j in Carlisle pa.85 miles from consignee.this will be a challenge for my student. Double drop at east Penn in Lyon station.... I think hell do alright.

 

Tomorrow we get our truck back from the shop it turned out to the weld on the brake pod mount broke and they had to order a new one, hopefully things will start looking better

 

wow that's scary, glad they got it fixed!


My batteries tested ok, but the terminals were badly corroded. Starts like a champ now (though I give myself car-guy demerits for not catching it sooner)
