it just sucks when I only drive an hour from the house either direction and can be home for both b-fast and supper and still turn a nice net income each week.

Did I mention that I have enough time to cook supper before the wife gets home too?

    Charli Girl Thanks this.

I net much more than $1,000.00 per week. That would be like taking 6 days off and working one.

A resounding YES !!! specially if you are in the North East. I have to runs today. one in the morning 28 round trip miles, $450.00 and another in the afternoon 54 round trip miles $ 700.00. On my way to upstate NY, 112 miles for a grand, and Monday to NYC for $ 1600.00. I took and occasional trip to Chicago Last Monday for 3442.82 plus a back haul of 1760 from CHRobinson. So...YES, it is possible !!! I got my own authority 2 1/2 months ago and rarely use The TQL's of this word.
Please remember that knowing how to drive a truck is NOT !! the same as knowing the trucking "BUSINESS"
C'mon naysayers !!!! tell me how I am BS...
Some on this board signs "WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER" I like that.
There is a lot of smart people on this board. learn how to separate the B.Sers and the successful ones.

There you are. Sure, some weeks are better than others. I'm home all the time and every weekend. I made more when I was over the road. The point is, that it can be done, easily. There are quite a few of use that are doing it. I don't understand why the doubters are doubting, rather than asking us how we do it.
