So he's suppose to get right on the trucks bumper before pulling out to pass? I ask again, how long have you been driving?
Why you need a dash cam

Some of these drivers on this thread need a swift fall back down to earth.
Yes he swerved at them, yes he probably had some rage, yes he's a human being. This is the reason I DESPISE any signs that say "look twice for motorcycles". Joy riders aren't bad usually, crotcheteers on the other hand .... uggghh
On the video with the rear ended crotch rocket, rocket completely deserved it. And I'm pretty sure that driver hit him on purpose.Charli Girl, rockee, Rigbuilder and 2 others Thank this. -
Anyway, no, not ont he trucks bumper, but a truck lenth or less. If you pull out before that your spending to much time int he left lane. If you slow down the left lane your inviting people to pass on the right. At the start of the video, he is pretty far back.
I know he's human, but we are professionals. We can;t let rage affect our driving. a mistake in an 18 wheeler can kill people. Motor cycles can fit in blind spots really well, so he should have slowed down and really looked right in all 4 mirrors plus the mini window before going right again. (right, right convex, right hood, right over door, window near floor) -
How long was he in the left lane? Was the other truck going a consistent speed? A truck length or less? Are you serious? I did not see what was going on before before the clip, or to the sides, did you? I'm pretty sure none of us has so whats the point of trying to pass judgement if we don't know all the facts.FatDaddy, leadfoot80, Joetro and 6 others Thank this. -
He was a truck length off him, and catching pretty quickly.
And I didn't see any rage on his part. He was trying to get out of the way, and the boneheads kept coming.
Even if he gave them a shot, so what? Teach the dummies a lesson. There was no rage. If there were rage, he would ran the dummies all the way into the shoulder.rockee, willardskillard, cetanediesel and 2 others Thank this. -

WOW this thread has became a pizzing match.
Let say this the OP was right and wrong in his actions his dash cam could have saved him but also could have cursed him. Yes I driven Petes and AutoCars KW Frieght shakers and Volvos all have blind spots but same time should seen others in the right lane. 4 Wheelers and 2 wheelers has always been idiots and always will be. It to be expected they will do it every chance they can.
Dash Cam is a good tool yet it too can bite you in the ###rockee Thanks this. -
This has became a heated discussion at best
The OP has proven 1 things, It can be good yet it can be bad. 4 wheelers and 2 wheelers will always be idiots and nothing going to change that. He made some error in judgements also so would it had saved him in that case? No a good lawyer would have hanged him to dry in Prison.
