Im looking for anyone who drove for burlington motor carriers back in the late 80's and early 90's that may have pictures of the truck they drove or the drop yards. My dad drove for monroe trucking when they got bought out by them out of the monroe yard for about 15 years until he got hurt and had to give it up. I remember wanting to go with him on the road as a kid and him sneaking me with him on a few trips geting caught the last time. Sadly, we lost him in 09 a month after his 70th birthday and im wanting to make a tribute to him for my sisters and i. If anyone has any and wouldnt mind e-mailing them to me I would be greatful. thanks

That's a wonderful gesture. I hope it works out for you. That's something your family will cherish for the rest of their lives.

Try the site hankstruckpictures.com. They are truck nuts and probably have what you're looking for.

Thanks Flatbed, he drove for them way back when they still pulled Stoops express, MCI and stricklease trailers when burlington first got started in trucking. I remember they had a blue star on the door. They even had at that time old Stoops express, Monroe trucking, wingate taylormaid trucks so this was way back.

Thanks Joseph1135, Man you werent joking about that website, will take a while to go through all those pics lol

My husband drove for Monroe out of Bristol, Tn. & he & I both drove drove when Burlington took over. Folks find it hard to believe I learned to drive the Rockies without a 'jakebrake'! That was one thing Burlington would not invest in back then. We also had a little one that 'fit in the corner'. We have a couple of pics in some albums my husband is looking for & will send them your way. Good luck & good memories. Crawldad & Packrat

Those were fun times, when I first started I ran out West in a cabover International with a 300hp cummins 9 sd trans spring suspension and no jake brake. Drag up one side and Fly down the other. Later I graduated to a two story cabover Freightliner at M.S. Carriers with a Jake Brake, couldn't tell me nothing then.
