It alright man. If that's the way you drive. You do you. If you don't want to get over then don't, nobody is going to make you. Be safe out there try to move over if it's clear if it isn't don't slam on brakes keep rolling.

Where I pulled over to the side of the road I had two feet clearance to the white line. That should be plenty of room to at least do a road side check of the situation, the damaged tire was away from the road, so that's the right spot to sit. No extra damage and no extra wasted time.
It isn't being lazy, it's being smart.
Regarding doing 75 or more and hating having governed trucks "get in your way", and I assume you are still on topic regarding the issue of how to behave when there is a roadside vehicle, I'm appalled that you think it is too much to slow down for safety in that situation. So what if a governed truck pulls over to give room to that vehicle? You can't be "inconvenienced" to slow down and wait for 1/2 mile? What? You're going to lose a whole $0.013 because you had to slow down for 1/2 mile? That's more important that someone's life?
Get some perspective. -

I had to laugh after reading this one. It reminds me so much of newspaper articles with a perp picture with a quote underneath, "But he had it coming!"...
.... followed by an interview with a fat woman, "IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MY MICHAEL, HE'S SUCH A GOOD BOY!"...
... and we wonder why trucking and the world at large is sliding backward. -
