I guess the employees of the t/a's are the ones who trash the restrooms, break off the doors, and pee all over the toilet lids.

I don't expect respect because I hold a CDL. I also don't expect it as a million mile safe driver with a good employment record. I don't expect it because I dress and speak well. I expect it because I am a paying customer. Just like the guy in the Honda civic or the Winnebago RV. That's why I demand respect. I am paying them (at a premium, mind you) for their service. To me. And to you. The bulk of their customer base is truck drivers. And I also understand we have a lot of pigs out here who like to break things and piss all over the lot and throw their feces like a bunch of feral animals.

I'd be happy as a tired trucker in a big empty parking lot if any shower attendant at any chain would just wipe the previous user's butt cheese off the toilet seat while they're in there changing the towels and not emptying the trash can. Free with fuel or $13 cash, it pisses me off to have to bring clorox wipes in with me to complete the cleaning job.
I tend to favor PFJ since they're more plentiful where I run, enabling me to use more of the shower points when I have them. If you don't like waiting for your fuel receipt, or care if you get it from a human, PFJ have that at the kiosks. So simple and a great way to free up a surly employee's time for wiping off the toilet seats in the shower that I'm amazed they all haven't done that. It's almost as magical as starting the pump with your card.
I also like the J's since Denny's is usually a notch less scuzzy than the other chain's restaurants and I like a meal served on a real plate every day or so.
Beyond that, they don't even need to say hi to me. I ain't there to make friends and socialize. Just don't make me wait or screw up my fuel card balance and I'm good. Setting my expectations on customer service to zero leaves me satisfied most times.fortycalglock, Dinomite, allniter and 1 other person Thank this. -

Nothing like trying to take a dump at a ta or petro and have people look at you because the doors have gaps between the stalls.

I'll jump on this bandwagon! T/A sux!!!
They are ugly, old dinosaurs, least the ones I been. Their unmaintained, chitty food, poor service, and driver reward program stinks. The drivers that use them are abusive, and crusty old farts too! When traveling w/ family I'd be afraid for their safety. While I was talking w/ shop mechanic, he had to deliver some old engine oil to kitchen, said he part times as overnight cook... fries will be done shortly. <--- thats scary, and I don't think he washed his hand either
J/k
Personal preference, I'll take T/A over Pilot any day. The business model for Pilot, Loves seems to be jam everyone into fuel islands and forget parking... The guy in-front of you just made you sit for his Mc' blah, you should too!
This should add an extra empty fuel lanejoseph1135 and DoneYourWay Thank this. -
