God I love these loads with only 10,000 LB.. Got up this morning and had 536 miles to run to my destination in Frankfort IN and only 9 1/2 hours on the clock. Lots of hills and curvy roads in the beginning but after about 150 miles, hammer down! Slowed down here and there for some heavy rain showers but made it to delivery with about 50 mins on the clock. Good paying load too!

Tomorrow morning heading over to Moorseville IN and pick up my next load, bit heavier, weighing in at 31600. Taking it on down to San Marcos TX. Hoping to get to Memphis OC tomorrow night laundry is piling up! For those that don't know at all the major SNI OC's there is a laundry facility where they provide washer and dryers for our use at no cost.

    Until next time!

yeah even includes free water! :biggrin_2559:

I think in the whole time been out here only paid to do my laundry once. Off top of my head think there is about 10 major OC's. You usually will pass one at least once or twice before going home. Also great to stop anyway and get your permit updates, reminders for when your renewed Insurance cards and registrations are available. Most of them also have a little work out room, safe place to park and a shop to get any work done on your trailer if needed.

I take full advantage of the OC's

Only downside is every now and then you might get stopped at the gate if there is an open work order on your trailer that needs to be taken care of. Then you have to go get it handled. Usually is no big deal but it does cause a delay.

Speaking of which! Made it to West Memphis OC. Drove about 500 miles today.

Picked up a load from Pasadena, TX, accordingly to the load board, it said 20k pounds, turned out to be 20k KILOS :biggrin_25510:, so it's 42005 pounds, there's goes my good fuel mileage, was averaging 9.3 MPG.

    Freakin,
I have not read your entire thread yet, but was hoping you would give me your readers digest view of leasing with Schneider.

And if you stop in the Atlanta OC get on the CB and say "Loveland...got your ears on?" And the BBQ place down the street will take your order and deliver. Excellent BBQ and really good greens if you like that sort of thing.

Jasbss, Freakin and atruckr Thank this.
