Don't change the ride height. What you're doing is changing the angle of the drivelines and that amounts to a lot with a 275 WB Truck. You're u joints and driveline angles are out of whack.

    Hey Bohut1,

I have a 2002 Pete 379 with the exact same symptoms. Seems it started right after I changed the rear spring bushings. Since then I have changed shocks, leveling valve, air bags, air bags and shocks on the sleeper, front spring bushings and hanger, both rear ends, had the driveline checked and re balanced, replaced the short driveshaft between the rear ends, cab bushings, leveling valve, played with the rid height, nothing has helped. I wish I could give you a suggestion... I'm about ready to sell the thing and buy a new one.

Let me know if you figure it out.

    Thanks

opiesw9 and J Arthur We need to know the model of air ride on your trucks. With that info maybe guys could get offer more help. If J Arthur has flex-aire and changed the bushings in the u shaped springs he made need to re-balance them.

If he has the 8 Bag suspension angles are not affected like most other suspensions.

The 8 bag suspension does not require much air, that's why there is 8 bags. if you inflate it like other suspensions it will ride like a tank, measure from middle of differential housing to bottom of frame, should not be more the 8.5"

I lowered my W900L with 270 W.B. 6" up front without any angle issues, and I also lowered rear end because previous owner had it aired way up. when I first got my truck it rode horrible, it now rides like my old Pete 379 with low air leaf

    JimmyWells and logtrucker25 Thank this.

you have Dunlop tires...look no further, get a set of Michelin's up front. that alone will improve your truck 110%

bigguns, I have Pete Low Air Leaf. I've heard that term "rebalance the springs" but I haven't been able to find anyone that knows what the heck I'm talking about. Do you know what that means? What that involves? Maybe it doesn't even apply to low air leaf... I have no idea. All I know is I have changed everything I can think to change and this thing still rides like I have no suspension at all. I had a friend drive the truck the other day (bobtail) and I followed in my pick up truck and studied all around the truck on the highway. I could see the truck shaking on smooth highway but could not tell where it was coming from. I wanted to keep this truck for a long time but I'm ready to get rid of it now if I can't solve this issue. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Balancing the the springs is done on the flex-aire suspension. If you Google Pete flex-aire you will find info on this. That is how I learned about it. As far as low air leaf I do not know if this procedure is done on it.

I bought a 03 T-800 cheap because it had a bad vibration at 58 mph. the previous owner spent lots on new parts and gave up. We took all the wheels of a good riding truck and sure enough had 2 bad rims, that fixed 3/4 of the vibration. The front diff was original with 1mil on it with some silver in the oil, put in new not reman, got my drive line balanced, it was out a bit, it handles like a dream now!!!! You never know!

Thanks kenw007! When you say 2 bad rims... bad how? warped? bent? Mine seem to be true. I have jacked it up and spun them and they all seem to be running true.

    05 w9, 09 389, 09 660. everyone of them was and is a rough sob.

95 600. rode like a cadillac. it was the only truck that had bags under the back corners of the cab.
