I'm in Mississippi, had become unemployed a couple of months before starting CDL school at a community college, & was receiving unemployment. I continued to receive the benefits thru school b/c, well, I was in school, not employed. Once I started a paid orientation with a trucking company the benefits stopped on the date orientation began even though I wasn't officially hired by the company till Thursday of that week. How it works in TX I couldn't say.

yes it makes sense, but in most states if you are in school full time you are "in their eyes" not able to search for a job or accept a job full time or go to interviews which would make you in-eligible to receive benefits

I attended a school and was on unemployment benefits the entire time there. You'll need to get it okayed with your employment agency at least that's hows its done in Iowa.

appreciate the input, just worried im going to lose mine because other student did...the way he explained to me sounded like he messed up on how he reported it...but i need that check so i can pay for my licensing fees otherwise i just wasted 3 weeks here
also, i don't want to report it wrong and be considered fraudulent either -
