The prime experience starting 8/13/2013

Trust me I know, but not allowed on the training pad and the main terminal yet, still waiting for the program supervisor to issue us our ID so we can even go over there. In the mean time, I am studying as much as I can without a truck. Watching videos and going through the study guides

 

If your asking about my room mate, no. Medical paperwork issues with his doctor not sending the right stuff in since they were on vacation, so not his fault, but he does get to come back in 3 weeks.

If your asking about me not being cleared, no. Getting cleared at this point was due to recruiter not getting stuff done, personnel not getting you into the system yet, since there is only two working the 4-6 orientations going on across the country.

 

So It is Saturday,
Got up early and went to the training pad at 7:00am.
As of this morning I did not have a trainer yet. So I made it my priority to find my own. A lot of other people already have their trainer or instructor, already backing and shifting on the training pad, and are planning on leaving Monday or Tuesday. I felt behind without an instructor for my next move. So I kept studying the pre inspection and watched other back and shift. When other trainers got here, I found one with 3 million miles under his belt and sold my self. Now I have a very experienced instructor whom has had all successful trainees and also no safety issues, accidents and little to no late delivery. He says he has none, but in 3 million miles?

So got some driving done with my instructor and we are heading out in the morning 5:00am. Ready to get started on my miles.

 

I did finally meet some company drivers that are trainers. Actually my instructor now is a company driver
