Sounds to me you have a better shot of making it with jct over a lot of the other companies.. Running that many miles.. If the truck payment is crazy high like I heard with another company which was around 800 a week.. So on avg whst are the jct trucks payments and for how long?

Thanks. -
I'm still on the old lease structure (I have to inquire about changing over or not) and my truck payment is approx. $658/wk. I originally had a $138/wk. side note (that was only for the first 52 wks. and was applied as my down payment...no up front cost), but it came off automatically after 52 weeks.

As for the old lease structure... I understood before going to JCT that I was going to pay more for my truck than it was worth, and chalked it up to the cost of credit. I had no money to put down on a truck, and my credit has been shot since I got divorced. I know many people who would say these are poor excuses for getting into a lease purchase, but I at least understood what I was getting into before I left home for orientation. I figured I had the 5 years of my lease term to learn what I needed to know to make an informed decision after paying off my truck... whether to get my own authority (and do everything myself), or stay leased to a company (and have them do alot of the work that would limit my driving).

If I continue to run about 3000 miles per week after I pay off my truck, it will be like getting a $2600/wk raise!

I still love the old long nose conventionals...Petes and KWs, but with the price of fuel, I'll go with the aerodynamic trucks and save the money.

So basically when you choose the truck there's the amount you're paying off or is it listed as selling price plus interest?
I'm looking at JB Hunts L/P, for one, and theirs is price plus 5.9% interest with a fixed payment. From what I'velearned so far, it looks like an average of a 3-4yr term and then you get the title.
