You got that right! I got unloaded quickly today; at the receiver less than an hour. I guess I caught the planners off guard, because I have no preplan yet:biggrin_2557: The reefer is fueled and I'm ready to roll!

Got my preplan. Load in Salinas in the morning then back to Ochelata, OK. That's 130 empty and 1683 loaded for 1813 paid miles. I think that I'll stop in the yard Tuesday morning and get some new steer tires. I was going to try and limp on them for a couple of months, but there's a shimmy at 45-55 mph and it's only getting worse. This trip will be paid along with the west bound trip so it'll be an over 3,500 mile week. Sweet! Gettin' back on track!

There's a nice Evolution here at the Pilot with a little dog looking out the window. I asked the driver if he paid the $2k or if he was grandfathered in. He said that he paid it. I'm pretty sure that they'll do installments on your settlement. He said that it took him four years to get over here (no explanation on that) and he's never leaving, lol. He drives with the wife, but that dog is the boss. Very well behaved and cost about $500/pound.

The coolest thing with this load is that my 16 yr-old son is coming over from Monterey for dinner. We're going to a place at the mall and he already hinted that he needs new shoes. Doh!

I'm set to deliver tomorrow morning in New Caney, TX. I tried to push it today to get to GATS. I was going to buy my scan gauge there. But there was an "assident" (that's actually what the digital sign said) on the EB I-20, so I ended up stopping in Ranger, TX. for the night.

I don't know if they changed their policy, but when I was talking to my recruiter, she told me if I wanted an extra $200 to go to orientation within 2 weeks of being approved. Then, when I got my first load out of Sapulpa, I would get a settlement that first week for the $200....in addition to the company footing the bill for my first 200 gallons of fuel.

    Soule_Man Thanks this.

As I track my fuel daily, I got 7.2 for today.

Good deal Sharpp. I messaged my dm about needing to get to the terminal for my 300K service (overhead, etc.) and my pm, but he told me he already has 3 other drivers on his board trying to get to the terminal, and Shelly doesn't have the freight coming out of Texas and going toward the terminal to accommodate us all. So I told him to just keep me in mind if something comes up...I think I can hold off for a week or so.

She said nothing about the extra 200.00. I talked to her today and was talking to them about the deferred truck payment and the hotel and fuel. She told me about the full fuel tanks from the start. Also I asked her about the deferred truck payment and she said it was for the 1st week then your payment will start the second week. I will have fo ask about the 200.

I guess that's another thing that has changed, because when I started, we didn't have a truck payment for the first 4 weeks. I did get to talk with Laura in the lease/purchase dept. today. She's sending me a bunch of info on the new lease structure as it would pertain to my truck. So far the numbers she was telling me about would make it sort of like refinancing my truck (if I convert my lease over to the new plan. I'm going to look it over and get back to her.

Oh yeah, I also talked to Terry (who manages the shop) and Royce today. Terry got the ball rolling, and Royce called me back to discuss the message I had left him. I now have a $400 credit at the shop when I go to get anything done. As it turns out, I am a "tweener" in regards to the old Michelin tire issue. I had a set that wore out strangely and was waiting for an adjustment on them. My problem happened before JCT had negotiated a deal with Michelin to provide an allowance (discount) when replacing them with the newer model. So I at least got my core credits for the 3 drives and 2 steers. Works for me.
