Like I told Sharpp...You will have issues anywhere you go, but at least I can honestly say that nothing has come up that we (JCT and I) haven't been able to resolve to mutual satisfaction. I feel that is an important point. I know JCT is in business to make money...if they weren't, they wouldn't have lasted as long as they have. But I feel comfortable that I can be successful and make my money right along with them.

Reefers really aren't what I want to do but its moved from the no column to the maybe.
Thing is I'm in the NE, near Phila Pa, and don't want to get stuck running up here or that stinking rotten apple. -
mushroom1464 Thanks this.

No, we can get work done wherever we want. There's probably a law that would disallow a company from forcing it's contractor's from using only their shop. Last week was the first time that I have EVER had service done by JCT. They treated me well, like a customer. They have improved in the last year from the discussions that I heard in the shop. Their shop rates are very competitive too. I'll probably still get my oil changes done at Bosselman or Petro (I like the free hats!), but anything else will be done in Sapulpa, if I can get there. -
I've been in Columbia's, Century's, Cascadias, W9 and a T600 and they all shook to some degree but this has nary a shake or shimmy up front.
TAfoolJustDoc Thanks this. -

As for the NE, we do go there, but you would most likely be running in our strong midwest lanes. And with our 1000+ mile length of haul, a trip up there is strictly an in and out. For instance, one nice load I had went from Kent, WA to Allentown, PA for 2716 miles. Next load was E. Brunswick, NJ to Ft. Worth for 1604 miles. I don't like Jersey either, but quick in and out is cool. -

I wonder if JCT will ever decide to get any T680s or T700s? Of course I'd rather have one of those with a DD-15 in it instead of the Paccar or Cummins ISX. While I'm at it, I'd go with the 13 speed trans too.

I've been 20yrs in the NE and am tired of it! Lol...put my time in hell. Heavy doesnt bother me after 10+ yrs hauling steel. All the grocery warehouses I've been to with a van look at the driver as free labor, I'd like to kick the guy who came up with that idea. Thats my biggest hang up on reefers. But it sounds like that's mostly sorted for JCT.
Does JCT offer any kind of group rate medical? I know JB does for O/O and L/P. Sharpp, your thread interests me because I'm a numbers guy as well, having run a side business for many years it all comes down to the botton line. And having to buy private medical insurance takes a huge chunk out of the bottom.
