I havent been yhere with Maverick yet but the worst delivery ive ever had was in new jersey. Blind side dock in the middle of a 3 lane highway. Blocking the road until you got the truck backed into the bay. Cars honking, people flipping the bird...all while you are backing into a dock that made the rubrails squeak from being so tight.

I let it bother me but that was years ago. I think next time it happens, im gonna pull my brakes, grab a soda, and sit on my running board while i drink it for a few mins.

Not on topic I suppose but I am still alive and kicking. Still in the Army with about 2 more years to go. Decided to do another go round and get some finances straight. Did another trip across the pond. YAY! :biggrin_25525: Interested more than ever in getting on the road.

Alright so someone please give me the real scoop!! I stopped at a flatbed truck today (in search of a tmc driver) this was a different company driver of a rival company! Nice guy! We talked for almost three hours. He said he has spoken to other tmc drivers and they had some not so nice things to say. Like short pay, long waits and low miles! Even recommended mcelroy over tmc and that wasn't the company that he worked for. I cannot run 70 hour weeks and receive $200 a week! I am so overwhelmed and frustrated right now. I wanted flatbed so that I didn't get fat and lazy not because of the money but I have to be able to afford to at least feed my family! Somebody please help me with this! I have been approved with Mcelroy TMC and maverick! What the heck do I do??

A no brainer. Go with Maverick! Great pay and great company. Do you really want to be The Maverick Cheerleader (TMC)? LOL

I worked for tmc for 2yrs, trust me ill retire here at maverick. treat ya so much better, your a real person here! yes trucks aren't as pretty but guess what more room and more driver comfort. apu, power inverters! that makes a world of difference. im home pretty much every weekend here and was hung out atlest once a month with tmc. 2974mi last week and I stay above 2500 avg. bank anywhere around 850 to 1100 a week thats after taxes insurance and 401k tmc couldnt come close.

I have learned some people don't give a ####. I had to make a split second decision the other day it cost me 2 safety points if I had to do it all over I'd do it the same way I hate when people text and drive but even worse with there kids in the car

I have a quick question for anyone. If your an experienced drive, does it usually take Maverick as long to get you into orientation, once your approved with them. Or do you still have to go out with a trainer for a period of time and wait until one is available?
