This is true, I decided to stop complaining once my detention pay started going up, btw the weigh station on 90 west going into Ohio is now open for business, and it's like a #### NASCAR track going around it

Budweiser detention pay? Good luck with that. Open window appointments.

Unless you there at the beginning of the window and were held 2 hours after the window end, I'd be surprised if you saw any money.

they'll argue it till the cows come home.

I never expect detention pay and IF I get it its never really anything big or worth the time lost at the shipper or receiver. In lee, FL heading to California for a friday delivery.

Detention depends on the contract we have with the shipper/receiver. Some don't provide for any detention at all. Buttwiper is one of the cheapest manufacturer's out there... and IMO, their pee-water beer sucks too.

If you spend more than 2 hours at a location after your appointment time and sending your macro 1 for an on-time arrival- DO stamp your bills, and DO enter the arrival, depart and appointment dates and times. If you don't there's no telling whether you're giving up some money.

any one know what happend to the prime drive on 80/294 just south of the Gary Ta, he was laying on the ground with an ambulance and medics, and cops were blocking traffic

Was it 0900 to 0900? Cause that's an firm appointment and not a window. Giving you a good case for detention.

I picked up Bud in GA last week and my window was 0500 to 2359. I could have got there at 0500 and I wouldn't have much to say about detention until well after 0000.

I called their automated load line and discovered my trailer had been loaded at 0100 and was ready for pickup.

Get familiar with "windows" and the term "Drop Dead Time" or "DDT.". you're gonna visit a lot of meat/poultry packing places and some of those can have over 36 hour windows, with the end of that window being the DDT. Those guys don't pay detention for anything before the DDT.

yeah it was a firm appointment on my Qualcomm, but I've also learned the appointments dispatch gives you on the Qualcomm, and the appointments the shippers/recovers have don't always match up
