Staged at the East St Louis PLot for an AM delivery. Was half tempted to head down to Busch tonight and catch the Reds/Cards game, but the truck thermometer saying 111 degrees quickly changed my mind.

Home again for the night... Liking this dedicated route so close to home. Only bad thing is I know winter will go from about 10 loads a week to about 3-5 so I don't know what they plan on doing to get me a decent check.
As far as NY goes I will NEVER go back into the city again. After being escorted out by NYPD and being told its a 2k+ fine along with mandatory court appearance for being over length. Legal is 65' max we are over 70'.
The only good thing about that trip was I left NY about 5 and had NO traffic and never had to stop at red lights thanks to the escort HAHA. I was taken all the way to the NY/NJ border and told if I am seen back in the city I would not be driving out "if ya know what I mean" HAHHA. -
I want a police escourt that would be fun.

"53-foot long trailers are not allowed to make pick ups or deliveries in any of the boroughs of New York City."

If you get a preplan to NYC just show your fleet manager this. They can find someone else to break the law. -
