Cruise control & radar stopped working today so that annoyance has resolved itself. Everything else still works. At shipper, had 50 min to spare on 70. Flying J next since no preplan. I hate paying lumpers.

 

We can get you home from Illinois no problem. Yeah whatever why dont I have a load yet going home than? Pretty sure iam getting ###### over.

 

Well got deadheaded to gary to wait on relay. Sat all day waiting for it. So once my 10 hour break is up at 10pm iam headed home with the 830 pound load delivering tuesday in Plymouth mn. Takes up a whole 4 feet of the trailer.

 

Home today not too bad a day. Made it with a few hours left.

 

TA I-35 x 161 Texas. Hotter than the sun here. AC on blast in the truck and still warm. Live unload in the morning then a short pickup and drop here in Texas for tomorrow.

 

I think its just the Roehl way to save money, I always understood 30k as being time for an oil change.

im getting that "no reach around" feeling as well, was supposed to be home today, got this load to ME to del in the AM tomorrow.

got a PP for a load to pick up and take through the house and del in PA on about day 3 of my six off....FM says he cancelled it, have no word on whats going on and ill be asleep in 10 min.

if nothing by the time I del, im sending the 13 and going home....

got home with 10 min left on my 70. Puddled jumped from the UP and relayed it in Appleton. Then grabbed a load to get started on going to Zachery LA. Didnt think I'd have the time after to make the next PP to Jax but ending up did. Didnt think I'd have the recap plus left over hours to make it home but I barely made it. Back out Tuesday with a junk 61 series trl that has been sold. How they'll get me up there from here isnt my problem, I tried to tell them to leave it in Jax and I'd grab it on the way back out but that just made them grumpy. 3 weeks out ran recap 2 of those weeks sucks

 

I always tried to be as honest as possible with drivers. If we didnt' have a plan I'd put it out there. It's not always the DM's fault, but they should be taking the heat, it's their job to do that.
