2000 volvo (n14 cumins) marker lights (all ambar & red, font & back) don't work. turn signals, stop & 4 way work fine!... found a burned out fuse (F-15 vehicle marker lamps); replaced it and it burns as soon as instaled!... I wraped a thin wire on the fuse to repair it and make it stronger (and to save money) only while locating the short which I figure is THE HOT WIRE GROUNDED, but I have no idea WHERE... the reinforced fuse melted in about a second!!!... I disconnected the pig tail at bot sides... (still burned the fuse) [lights do turn on while installing the fuse]... also the head lights< only the RIGHT SIDE WORKS RIGHT... the LEFT turns on while shifting TO HIGH BEAM... BUT it goes out when I RELEASE THE LEVER... DON'T KNOW if it is ONE problem or TWO... ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!

I had a short in my '01 Volvo, ended up being a wire behind the cab that was touching the frame and rubbed through. Good luck!!

a lot of times it is a short in the bulb inside one of the dash switches.when dark, see which switch does not light up,then unplug it and if fuse does not pop, that is the one.this also goes for main cluster light bulbs.good luck.

Replace all 5 relays in the fuse panel (r-1 r-2 r-3 r-4 & r-9) also check the fuses for the Light Control Module( there is 3 or 4). I just had a truck down for for days. Goodluck

Hello everyone, I have a 2000 Volvo with detroit 12.7 which I just bought, first headlight come on and off by itself without turning the ignition. Then I take the cluster out to change some bulb. After that I put the cluster back. None of interior lights are turning on, the horn is not working, nothing electric beside the 4 way flasher and wiper work. Can somebody who has had this problem let me know what the solution is, thank you

Hello everyone, I just got a 2000 Volvo vnl 610 and everything on the cluster works but the little screen on the left side and today I took it for emissions but it didn’t pass because they supposedly couldn’t tell which is considered the check engine light. So now I’m stuck where to start or check exactly which one it is or how to fix it.
