Sitting at the secure lot in Seville, OH now. Dropped my relay and hooked to a empty, no lights. The trailer connection box had some pretty heavy damage done to it so I tried a different trailer, still no lights.
Hooked up completely to that trailer and went NASCAR swerving through the yard to grind through the grease on my 5th wheel and get a ground connection. Lights came on. Looks like Atlantas "mechanics" did not fix my ground issue under the cab during the PM. Instead they just replaced the trailer cord that was grounded out to a bolt on the back of the cab, which should have been an obvious sign that there was a ground issue in the first place. Instead they just replaced the cable and now the issue is back again.
Sat on hold for 38 minutes before getting through to someone at SEM. Supposed to sit for another hour and a half until someone calls to give me an idea when they will get here for service.
I'd fix it myself but don't have all my electrical tools with me unfortunately... sucks because it would take all of 10-15 minutes to cut a slit in the harness, find the ground wire and ground it to a bolt on the cab. Oh well... just gotta sit and wait.
I got a preassignment headed to Maine. 800 something mile run, but still, into Maine, which is the Northeast. I called in about it and made sure that I was getting back out. I was told I will get a load out of that area and not get stuck in the Northeast again. I'm supposed to be routed down to Charlotte so I can talk with them about all these problems. At that time I'll talk to the IC Choice contact as well hopefully.
Time to sit and wait... probably by the time they get here and fix the ground I'll just end up leaving out to pick up my load tomorrow.

I found an empty trailer but had to drop it while I ran across the overpass to a shop so they could fix my wiring. I thought about putting a kingpin lock on the empty since I would be right back, but then decided not to since I'd be pissed if someone else did that, lol. But sure enough I'm gone for all of 30 minutes, come back and someones hooking up to the trailer I had. So I'll be sitting around here till morning and hopefully some empties will come in overnight as people park for the long weekend.Zman1403, hal380, DoneYourWay and 2 others Thank this. -

Sitting here for nine hours waiting to get loaded, now they are telling me it's going to be tomorrow morning! Great day.

Never got loaded, dropped trailer at dock. They are gonna work as long as it takes to get it loaded late tonight. I came over to pilot to take my next ten hr break (already had one waiting there so long!) and will pick up trailer in morning.
