    Yeah if you search for the Sentinel thread on this site we have been discussing this. Benefits sound awesome but you have to like being filmed as they have a camera looking at you while you drive.

    Here is a shortcut tip some may not think to do... If you can find a truck stop fueling the types of trucks you want to go work for, run over and bug their driver for info. I have this happen to me 2-3 times a month. Word of mouth is key in this industry. They may get a bonus to refer you too but most seem willing to answer a few questions even if they get nothing out of it but a good conversation.

    thanks for all the advice there's some good stuff here. Today I went and started an address at the UPS Store, I want to get my car registered my drivers license transferred but I need proof of address. I spoke with a few people on the phone from different companies and tomorrow I have t hree different appointments to go fill out applications at least. I think I'm going to put the drivers license thing off for a while. I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow.

    Hey TaserTot. Im going to be right behind you here shortly doing the same thing. Ive been doing the online thing but I feel its a waste of time. I had an interview last week at Sanjel will know more thus week. But if that falls through....hopefully not.... I'm packing up and headed out too. My family and most of my friends support me me but a few think I'm crazy. I believe the whole if there is a will there is a way. You only get out 9f things what you put into them. Plus when you get the balls to put you self in that position failure is not an option. Best of luck man.

    It may be a stupid idea but see if there is a Gym around .for a $29 membership or less ,you will be able to shower regularly.

    okay just a quick update...I have a tenative job offer fro m the first place I walked into. They are supposed to call me tomorrow after the background investigation. the only thing is is that I will have to drive back and forth from San Angelo which is about an hour drive. They will start me out at 20.50 an hour during training. Then after training I go to nights and I go to 21.50 per hour. I will be driving a vac truck. if all goes well with the background check orientation starts this coming Friday.

    One very important note: I asked him if he had had very many applicants and he said he's got a stack of applications about a foot high but the problem is that none of them are in this area. So if you applied and haven't gotten a response from any of these companies down here that's probably why.

    about the gym membership thing I thought of that yesterday. Golds Gym has a membership right now for $10 per month.
