Is there a way to have Husbands DM swapped? Every new driver that was in his class that got the same DM, has already left the company or put in their 2 weeks. His DM actually told him to use something called mandated to drive 140 miles to the next shipper when he was out of hours. Of course he refused to do that.

Does he have that in writing or was it conveniently over the phone? ......What is mandated, guys? I've never heard that term before.

He was being told to use Safe Haven - Mandated to Leave Property. If he was being told to drive on that line, take a pic and contact Chris G! That is a log violation no matter what, but he should never use that unless he absolutely has to.

I am currently sitting on thr yard afyer delivering in Lenexa today. I will be grabbing my next load which is already here and taking it to Cheyenne. Had a meeting with Jack and Heather today as well as talking to my DM. Im not gonna throw in the towel just yet after all. Gonna exhaust a few more options and if they totally bmb, I actually think I may be able to step down to company. Im planned up for 3100 miles by Wednesday morning. Have hometime Friday and Saturday cause my little man is turning onr. Gonna keep at this for a bit longer. I dont know why I like this company so much that I want to stay this badly, but I do. So I am. For now anyways. So you guys arent rid of the badger yet!

Yup, all conversations are through QC...
His DM is an #####. He had a run in with a trailer at TK, (midnight, no lights in lot, caught the front passenger side fender and mirror on a jb hunt reefer, while he was backing into the spot across from the trailer)and his truck was damaged a little, this was on August 14th, Roy said to have it brought to the yard as soon as possible, and he keeps reminding his DM of this, his DM has yet to submit for his breakdown pay when the transmission went out, and he was stuck in a hotel for 5 days, that was on August 15th, he was told he couldn't submit BD pay until he had a load under him, which took 2 days to get. He submitted for it. He has told his DM every paycheck since then that he is owed 44 miles for the drive from his last stop to the TK and 182 miles from TK to his breakdown. DMs response... I will look into it. His DM gave him a DH# to come home, and is now saying that was not paid, and they use DH to cover their ##### when a driver is going on HT. We were surprised when he gave him the DH#, cause we were under the impression that TA does not pay miles for you to go from your last stop to home, so I am not worried about the $60 for those miles. His DM also told him he would get layover pay for a load, and that is still non existing. According to our numbers he is owed almost $400, for the BD pay, the layover pay, and the miles driven before he broke down, and a $29 charge that was from a screw up where his DM told him to do a washout, before dropping truck at meat plant, then wouldn't get back to him when he requested a PO, so he paid with his own money, and his DM was like "my bad, send me your receipt, I will get you reimbursed", yeah they reimbursed him on his card, and then took it back out of his check as an advance...
All the other drivers that have quit or have given 2 weeks, are saying the same thing about pay.
He is understandably irritated with his DM.

Wow, Honeybadger! I hope it all works out for you!

I wondered if "mandated" was some kind of safe haven move.

He went in and asked the facility if he could do his 10 off on their property, and they said yes. They are going to have him Tcall to Oleathe with the load he is on his way to get now, he had to tell his DM 2 or 3 times that he was out of hours and he was not able to get to the shipper til 10 hours after the pick up time, and there was no way he would make the delivery time either.

So when he gets to Oleathe, he will be there for a few days, so he will be speaking his mind, and that will determine if he rents a car and just drives home. His DM is out of Rockwall, so he won't be there to dispute and lie in person..

Tell him not to delete and take pics of those satellite messages!!!! As far as thr DH#, I have been given a DH order to get home on, but was not paid for those miles. Did your hubby need to purchase fuel on the way home and not yet have a dispatch? That woukd be why he got a DH number. He enters thr DH number in lieu of a trip number to get the fuel he needs.

all messages are saved on transam computer forever
whether you delete them or not
David Cole in Safety is the one to speak to if he was told to drive to a shipper out of hours
