I may or may not have changed a thirty minute pre trip to a 15 in order to find safe haven. Sometimes #### happens, and they have to understand. I forget to log off half the morningsI finish my pti and end up having to edit.

Never heard a word about it. -
I do 15 min pre, 5 min post (was told that straight from Schneider), and for fueling I go on duty when I step out of the truck and off as soon as I step back in after hanging the pumps up. Usually I'm in and out of the pumps including DEF in 7 minutes, hate sitting there at truck stops at the fuel island. I'm either moving or PARKED. I do the fuel/pretrip at the same time as well if I can, just enter pretrip in one box and fueling in the second one.
Now here's one for you guys - should you ALWAYS show a 5 minute TIV before going from OFF to DRIVING (i.e. you stop to use the bathroom at a rest stop and go off duty when you get out of the truck)? Or is it OK to go straight from OFF to Driving?DoneYourWay Thanks this. -
dieselfuelonly and DoneYourWay Thank this.

Nice, those 5 extra minutes are going to start adding up!

You guys have to be kidding me. I'm all over this, thanks guys. My life is simple now.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I don't think the Qualcomm will log anything less than 5 minutes... so say if you pulled into the fuel island just to pump in DEF, and only spend 4 minutes logged on while doing that and then logged off, the QC would "forget" the 4 minutes on-duty and log it all as off-duty. I've noticed this happen when I've logged on for, say, 3 minutes to show a TIV and then switched to driving, it changes those 3 minutes of on-duty straight to driving. Can anyone else confirm this?

That is correct for it to stick it needs to be 5:31

And usually, for example, if you have 3 minutes logged into, say, off duty or on duty, and you start driving, by the time it forces you over to driving automatically the extra 2+ minutes will add on and will apply to whatever status you were before. And it's pretty much been stated by every OSR I've talked to that you shouldn't even bother manually changing your status over to driving. Just drive and let it kick you over automatically.dieselfuelonly Thanks this.
