Amazing how animals help with PTSD, isn't it?
Interstate (IDC) is pretty pet friendly ($750 deposit taken at $50/week) and loves teams.

We don't have to pay pet deposit, but we are buying the truck. Now that I am teaming with hubby, our dog goes with us. She won't be separated from me. She's a good trucker dog though, and has taken to it quite well. Keep the truck clean and clean up after her (dog clean up bags from Walmart or pet supply places). She's not a small dog though. About 60 pounds, bloodhound-doberman, and a complete sweetie.

Always keep them on a leash when you get out at rest areas. I've seen to many incidents and problems because drivers don't think their pets will bite anyone.
And I have the most laid back friendly dachsund my self. Yet a leash is a must.mje Thanks this. -
here is LeaLea and Dottie, my little miniature pinschers, we lost Dottie last year, so as soon as i am employed again i will rescue another little one, i like to keep two dogs because they take care of each other better than i can
LeaLea looks like a cupcake but she is a very tough dog, her breed was developed in Germany to work on the farms as a ratter and digger, very cunning and fast: when i lived in suburbia with Dottie she used to catch birds as well as mice! poor LeaLea is a city girl so we chase pigeons on our walks when she is not on her iPad

Yea, they are. He seems to sense when Im having problems and he comes and chills with me, or plays with a toy and gets me laughing. I get called gay slurs for having him, but I dont care. He's a great companion, and he is a great foot warmer in the winter!!!

Easy Answer to this Question !
Don't tell your company about the second dog. You'll be on the road 99.9% of the time. Very seldom will you be at the terminal. Even there, they have too much going on to notice that you have two dogs.DoneYourWay Thanks this. -
used to work with a lady driver that had 2 big dogs. 2 med dogs. 2 little dogs and 2 cats. she eventually got fired.
