Thanks! So far the experience has been wonderful. I feel like the company really does mean what they say when they invest in their employees, and the training period has really reinforced that for me.
Only 30 hours of training left! Then I will be on my own! I feel like my biggest issue with my job at this point is setting up doubles. I just need to fine-tune my process so that I am comfortable doing it at night. The Challenger Thanks this. -
I hope they are not training you to back in to the second trailer with the dolly attached to the lead trailrer
-
I train my guys to hook the dolly to the tractor and then place the dolly in front of your light trailer then hook up to your lead trailer back it into the stagged dolly which is in front of your second trailer then hook them all up... It is too hard for a new guy to back your lead into the tail trailer with the dolly attached to the lead
-
That's how my trainer showed me how to do it, and his reasoning was the same as yours. Heck, sometimes backing that dolly up by itself is pretty hard. -
well anyways good luck maybe I will see you in south beloit meet and turn sometime I am thinking about taking that run on my next bid from minneapolis
-
South Beloit, huh? I'm hoping for a few of those myself! As it is I'll probably be running a lot of Chicago runs for the foreseeable future.
