I'm not so pompous as to think "record mileage" would be achievable the first week. I was merely wondering if those were normal miles for starting out or indicative of the future. My old mans been driving for 10 years....I know there r good weeks n bad...cut me some slack :/

    My first week I got a 98$ paycheck. I wouldn't worry. It'll pick up.

Maverick is always a bit more careful on new drivers. Time management is very tough to learn and they do have a reputation to uphold. His first month or two is gonna be a bit slow as they determine what kind of driver he is and what he's willing to do. Some students graduate and then get REALLY lazy, which makes it worse for all of the subsequent students because our customers obviously get upset when we're late.

I wouldn't worry too much. If he's willing to run hard, they'll shove so many miles up his you-know-what he'll wish for the days when he only had to do 1400 LOL.

    Rigbuilder and Panterafan0628 Thank this.

Thx for that info :) He's definitely willing to move...this is his first flatbed experience (he's got 10 years otr..van..tanker..temp control) and hes really liking it. I'm not to proud to say that I prolly jumped the gun...but I just wanted some feedback. Thx again y'all :)

No worries at all. It's tough on wives and families, wondering if their husbands made the right career choice. And we're all very happy to help the wonderful Maverick women in any way we can.

He'll be doing fine in no time. Before long he'll be getting Qualcomm messages like this:
