We deliver to all types of places, lots of paper mills and mines. Refineries and plants and corn fields. You never know. I delivered to the mint one time. As regional you will run the same areas as me except the west coast. I rarely have a problem with a trailer and when I do it is usually easily solved.

Thanks for this thread Ethos. I am currently waiting to hear from my TE and getting on the road with him on/about 8/27. I did my training with Schneider here in Coraopolis (Pittsburgh), PA and it wasn't easy, but it was very serious, as it should be. Not knowing what my TE will be like, and hearing that newly trained TEs are entering the mix every week, this thread has provided a lot of good information about what to expect and how to make it a positive experience.

You can count on at least a month, start to finish.

How much does Schneider pay students during training (or does it vary?)?

I don't know why I missed that part, I guess I so used to answering students questions. For you it would be no more than two Weeks. Most of that two Weeks would be at the yard for orientation and hands on training. Probably three days with a local trainer and then that's it..

oh wow reallly???? 3 days local? so ill be home the same day? cuz i can drive anytime of the day but problem is i hated night driving with a trainer cuz i barely slept during the day. i live in the chicago,IL area but im real like crazy close to Indiana. I can be out of the gary terminal and its 20 min from my house. chicago is like 20-30 min drive downtown. im so gonna hit them up. but i got a question for you. im a local driver now. can i get something with good hometime?. i get married in june 2014 thats when i need to be home daily. u think i can find companies with local daily positions that dont require me to go to gas stations? thats what kind of worries me. let me know please. cuz 3 days is good i can do that.
