Running with JCT

As for me, I am in North Platte, NE. waiting to make my 07:00 delivery tomorrow morning. I got 2 preplans today, 1 that picks up today (it'll be waiting for me) in Lexington, NE. (Tyson) and delivers to Emporia, KS. on 09/19, and the 2nd picks up in Emporia, KS. on 09/19 and goes to Puyallup, WA. for delivery on 09/23... works for me!

 

That sounds beautiful! I like that the DM's or Dispatchers keeps track of you, they know when you drop or are going to drop, They know what they can put on you, I hate these companies whee you call with an empty call and they start to look for a load rather then figuring that you are close ot or unloading and will be ready to go, Can the DM(dispatcher) see your hours? You have left? I really like what I am hearing I may just jump in this pool! We will See. Oh What day is it tomorrow?

 

I currently pull flatbed and rarely ever have a pre -plan and it drives me nuts!!! I would really love to know where im headed too next

 

Welcome to the family(in advance) TysonDriver! I did want to comment though, just so you are aware...Our 2 biggest customers here at JCT are Walmart and Tyson. So you'll probably get the opportunity to say hello from time to time to some of your Tyson friends and acquaintances. I complained when I first started only to find out that Tyson gets a 24 hour load window, but in my experiences with them, they weren't too worried about anything even when they did miss the drop dead time. So apparently, they pretty much get to do whatever they want. Just ask your DM for the drop dead time on Tyson loads, then call Tyson to check on the readiness of the load periodically so you don't have to sit on their lot and wait.

 

I am in Barkeyville Pa, making my way over to Rocky Hill Ct. I have a delivery Thursday morning but am going to see if I can deliver tomorrow afternoon. No preplan as of yet but I am hoping. LOL I finished out the day at 7.8 mpgs and that is with the Pa hills that I have been going over.

I just ordered another Scangauge D as they were on sale at the place I got them and my buddy wants to buy my other one. Now if I can get home so I can get it. Yes, your DM can see your hours. Sometimes, when my qualcomm won't switch back to HOS from Messages, I'll call my DM to verify my hours left in my day...especially when they ask me to do a repower. It mainly depends on your relationship with your DM. If you get along well with him/her everything goes much more smoothly...but I'm sure you already knew that.

 

Been there done that, I was on the short wagon before I ever got to one company I worked at! me and her not so much! I will be sure to get in good with my DM! I really am thinking about doing this... Hmmm We will See! Tomorrow is Wednesday! hump day for the M-F-ers! But for us in this Trucking Class! We just run till we can't no more!
