I'm a company driver and was backed into at the truck stop while getting something to eat. Driver who hit me I don't think even noticed he hit me and went back over the road. The damage is miner with about a 6 inch crack in the hood and acouple of rubb marks on the p/s front quater. I have no witnesses and now I have to report it to my company are they going to put this on my dac? Need advise. I would not be worried about it if I wasn't going to a new company soon.

    mje Thanks this.

most companies will consider a "hit while parked" as a non-preventable accident. As long as you report it to your company as soon as possible, they shouldn't hold it against you.

Private property the COPs won't come out, Or they will tellyou it isn't over $500.00 worth of damages! The driver booked it because he didn't want to have to report it to his company! Get as much information on it as you can, I hate to be the Carrier of bad news but that one probably going to be yours.

It can't be your fault, you weren't even in the truck. Only way it could be your fault if you were parked illegal. Just call your safety dept. and report it. Make sure you tell them you were in the store when it happened. Safety will also advise if police report is needed.
